Where are the best places to see the sunset in Hoi An?
At each time of the day, Hoi An has its own beauty. It is also the old-fashioned look of an old town, but in the afternoon, Hoi An seems to be quieter. The sun is less dazzling. The red sun shining down on the river's surface made the colours even more dazzling, the whole city sparkled. The silent boat dock, farmers rushed to finish their work to return home. Sunset everywhere is poetic, romantic and also in Hoi An, also romantic in the taciturn, romance in the beauty of a cultural area.
If you have come to Hoi An, do not miss such an opportunity. Here are a few places that can help you watch the best sunset.
1. Sunset on the banks of the Hoai River
Located on the edge of the old town, Song Hoai is not only a place to attract tourists but also a place to watch the sunrise as well as the beautiful sunset. In particular, do not go from Cau Pagoda - the symbol of Hoi An city to watch the sunset, there is nothing like. Sunset colours bring a bit of gold, a little red radiating across space as though giving the city a new shirt compared to the time of morning or noon of golden sunshine. The colour of the sunset and the ancient architecture of Cau Pagoda make you become ancient. The peace and nostalgia will make you have a very new feeling that a foreigner certainly never has.
Peaceful life along the stream drifting boats here is not in a hurry but just leisurely drifting in waves. Each boat carries its own colour, they create a very colourful Hoi An, but they all carry a common soul, a hospitable soul Hoi An.
2. Hotel royal, Dao Duy Tu
Located on the banks of the river, five minutes from the edge of Old Town, the Deck at the Royal Hotel is definitely in a pretty high price. But it is an experience that every visitor to Hoi An should enjoy, at least once.
The Deck is the highest rooftop bar in Hoi An, so this is the perfect place to watch the sunset.
It feels great when you are looking at everything from above. The city of Hoi An has become small in your sight. Sitting in an armchair, putting your feet in the cool water and enjoying, you can escape from the heat of summer here. Everything will be more perfect when you sip a cocktail of concentration, spicy and fresh fruit. Everything is full, your job is now immersed in the hot sunset, fascinated and enjoy the cool water, delicious wine.
The high life may not be for all of us, but if possible, try to try it once, to see Hoi An in a different way.
3. Bach Dang
If you're someone who likes to explore freely instead of having to pay for a service, then you have another great option. There is a large road stretching along the river, which is Bach Dang Street. You can wander all the way with your camera. Wherever you are, you can capture the moments that make you feel beautiful and love. This way, you do not need to spend money and can experience it many times during your trip.
By wandering along the street you can observe Hoi An in more detail. You can capture the gentle smiles of a farmer, or a gentle country girl. The lively life of an old town is also saved by you in each picture.
The old town at sunset is a little rushed. Everyone rushed to finish their work to return home after a long busy day. The shadow of workers tilted in the afternoon sun, falling on the yellow background of the houses here. People, the scene is so gentle, likeable.
4. Cua Dai bridge
Away from the hustle and bustle of the street, if you prefer quiet places you can come here. Rent a motorbike and drive straight to Cua Dai Bridge to see a peaceful and idyllic Hoi An. Certainly, your trip will not be in vain because here you can watch the sunset in the wider, more open space.
Overlooking the mysterious entrance of Cam Nam. On the opposite side, watch the boats of Duy Hai (a nearby fishing village) gliding home, the peaks of the Cham archipelago reaching out. Taking time to stand still, despite the noise of traffic behind you, there is nothing but peace in front of you.
The top of the bridge is a favourite place for locals to stop by motorbikes, rest and enjoy cigarettes before returning home in the evening. A big smile and a few Vietnamese words will help you. Try talking with them even with eyes to feel the sincerity of Vietnamese farmers.
5. Rice Fields Near Tra Que Vegetable Village
Now, there are many places to watch the sunset around the rice fields in Hoi An. It will be interesting if you cycle around this place and at the end of the day, the coolest time to find the hidden moments of this special moment.
I cannot determine exactly where you will find a photogenic fisherman or a water buffalo. But I can tell you that one of the most beautiful settings I found was near my old house, between the rice fields on the right of Hai Ba Trung and Tra Que Vegetable Village.
Follow the path from the edge of the water back to the rice field and you'll come across what looks like a small bridge (but actually more than a dam). Park your bike here and climb the concrete structure to enjoy views of the water, rice fields and further sunset. You can have your own place and, if you have a cold beer in your pocket, then your afternoon couldn't be any better.
Of course, rice fields are always the ideal place for beautiful photos and sunsets to be one of the best times to look for them. So hop on your bike and explore!
Each location gives you a different experience. From our suggestions, please choose your favourite place. But if it is too difficult to choose one of them, then try them all to get yourself the most accurate results.
