Destination: 795
Options 1,635
Leather, ext. protection pckg., paint blue candy

Subtotal $41,630
Ford Incentive -10,750
Net Price is: 30,880

Fed.Tax Rebate -7,500
CA Rebate -2,500

Actual Total: $20,880

So, with a little bit of negotiation, one should be able to buy (after you are finally able to use the fed's tax credit) a Ford Focus Electric for less that $20,000. That price is less than the gasoline version, similarly equipped, let alone the other hybrids and electrics available.

Unplugged,

You double counted $7,500 Fed tax credit. Ford's $10,750 includes it.
