Default BBC - 'Massive' disruption for Japanese car makers

Interesting, short audio report from the BBC. It was suggested Toyota could have to lower profit projections for the year by half or more. Also, Toyota could slip from #1 in unit production to #3 behind GM and VW.

Yesterday the ratings agency Standards and Poor's downgraded the outlook for all the major Japanese carmakers to negative from stable, after they announced big falls in production.

Professor David Bailey, a motor industry expert at Coventry Business School, analyses the impact of the Japanese earthquake and tsunami on the car industry.
